More delays announced HCR employer mandate: Be ready to answer account questions
On Monday, Feb. 10, the Obama administration announced it is giving employers with 50 to 99 full-time equivalent employees until 2016 to comply with the employer mandate to provide insurance or face a fine. Companies with fewer than 50 full-time employees are not affected as they are not subject to the employer mandate.
In addition, employers with 100 or more employees could avoid some fines in 2015 if they can demonstrate they offered coverage to 70 percent of their full-time employees |
